Sebabatso Conference 2025 Opens at Manthabiseng Convention Centre

The Sebabatso Conference 2025 officially opened today at the Manthabiseng Convention Centre, gathering government officials, international partners, and development stakeholders. The event aims to drive discussions on strategic national development goals.

Arrival registration was coordinated by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) in partnership with the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI). Delegates from across the country and abroad participated in the initial registration and networking sessions.

The opening session is being led by the Principal Secretary from the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development (MGYSD), who will act as Master of Ceremonies.

Key opening remarks are scheduled from prominent figures, including:

• Mr. Yang Xiaokun, Representative from the Chinese Embassy
• Hon. Pitso Lesaoana, Minister of Gender, Youth and Social Development

The highlight of the session will be the Official Opening Statement delivered by the Right Honourable Prime Minister, Mr. Ntsokoane Samuel Matekane. His address is expected to outline national priorities, development strategies, and key initiatives for sustainable growth.

The conference will continue with panel discussions, workshops, and stakeholder engagements aimed at strengthening partnerships, promoting innovation, and accelerating the country’s development agenda.
