Senqu Hard Enduro Celebrates 5th Anniversary, Boosts Local Economy

The 5th anniversary edition of the Senqu Hard Enduro took place from September 11 to 13, bringing excitement and economic benefits to the region. The three-day GPS stage race challenged riders across the scenic Senqu River terrain, covering Ha Mpiti, Sehlabathebe, Ha Ts’episo, ’Melikane, Ha Mohlapiso, Ha Rapase, Ha Thube, Ha Ramoroke, Mosaqane, and Ha Rooijane.
The event drew competitors and spectators from across the country, increasing demand for accommodation and local services. Hotels, guesthouses, and vendors reported significant activity during the race period.
Mr. Moeketsi Moletsane of Letloepe Guest House told the Agency, “They sleep and eat here, and other hoteliers enjoy similar benefits. We are often fully booked, and I even have to hire extra staff to keep up with demand.”
The Senqu Hard Enduro continues to grow in popularity, providing both a platform for extreme sports enthusiasts and a boost to the local economy through tourism and business engagement.
