Lesotho Senior Women’s National Team Set for Friendly Matches Against Malawi

The Lesotho Senior Women’s National Team, Mehalalitoe, will travel to Malawi at the end of August for two international friendly matches against the Scorchers.

Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) spokesperson Mikia Kalati confirmed that both matches will take place in Blantyre. The first game is scheduled for Friday, August 29, followed by the second match on Sunday at Mpira Stadium.

Kalati noted that the friendly matches will allow Mehalalitoe, coached by Shalane Lehohla, to fine-tune preparations ahead of the COSAFA Women’s Championship later this year.

He added that the team will miss players from Kick4Life Women, who will be competing in the CAF Women’s Champions League COSAFA Qualifiers starting in late August.

Currently, Mehalalitoe are conducting a non-residential training camp, practising three days a week. The team will move into full-time camp before departing for Malawi on August 27.
