LNIG Hollard Commits M1 Million to Lesotho’s Top Gospel Event, Now the LNIG Hollard Gospel Xplosion

Leading insurance provider LNIG Hollard has officially entered into a groundbreaking three-year headline sponsorship of Lesotho’s premier gospel concert, the Gospel Xplosion. Now rebranded as the LNIG Hollard Gospel Xplosion, the sponsorship deal is valued at M1,000,000, solidifying the event’s growing status as a cultural and spiritual highlight on the national calendar.

Announced at a launch event yesterday, the sponsorship will be disbursed in phases over three years: M250,000 in 2025, M300,000 in 2026, and M350,000 in 2027. The move marks a major step up in LNIG Hollard’s support for the event, signalling a long-term commitment to faith-based community engagement.

Speaking at the launch, LNIG Hollard CEO Mpho Vumbukani expressed pride in the partnership, noting that their involvement with Gospel Xplosion stretches back several years. What began as small-scale support has now evolved into a strategic investment in a purpose-driven movement.

“This is not the beginning of our journey with Gospel Xplosion. In the past, our support was modest — a token of intent. But as our capacity grew, so did our commitment. This partnership is a testament to our belief in the power of faith, community, and purpose-driven collaboration,” Vumbukani said.

The event’s transformation over the years was reflected on by Nthabiseng Mokitimi, event director at Jam Session Sounds, who recalled its humble beginnings.

“Our story began in 2022 with just over 400 worshippers at Mokete wa Thoriso,” Mokitimi shared. “By 2024, that seed had grown — by God’s grace — into Lesotho’s leading gospel concert, drawing over 3,000 attendees, including Her Majesty, the Queen.”

Mokitimi emphasised that the LNIG Hollard Gospel Xplosion is not just a concert, but a spiritual movement designed to offer healing, renewal, and excellence in every aspect — from production and hospitality to ministry.

“Lesotho Gospel Xplosion is a sacred space for worship and transformation. From the beginning, we envisioned a gospel lifestyle experience that honours God through excellence,” she said.

Over the years, the event has featured renowned gospel ministers and artists, making it a magnet for both worshippers and performers. Spiritual leaders like Moruti Elsie (LECSA), Bishop Sekete, and Moruti Maine have graced the stage, alongside celebrated artists including Minister Spokes, Lebo Sekgobela, Sbu Noah, Bucy Radebe, and Puleng March.

With LNIG Hollard now onboard as the headline sponsor, the event is expected to reach even greater heights in production quality, audience reach, and social impact. The partnership reinforces a shared commitment to uplifting communities through faith, celebration, and shared purpose.
