PLMC, Econet Lesotho, and Sam Matekane Foundation Launch People’s Cup

The Lesotho Premier League Management Committee (PLMC), in partnership with Econet Lesotho and the Sam Matekane Foundation, has officially launched the highly anticipated People’s Cup. The announcement was made at a press conference held on Tuesday at Bambatha Ts’ita Sports Arena, marking a significant milestone for local football.
The tournament, now in its third consecutive year of sponsorship by Molefi Global Agencies, continues to gain momentum as a key event in Lesotho’s football calendar. Representing the agency, Mr. Molefi ‘Livo’ Lengosane reaffirmed their commitment to the development of the sport, urging citizens to rally behind the initiative. “We have been backing this cup for three years now, and it’s vital that every citizen plays their part to enhance the success of football in our nation,” he said.
PLMC Secretary General, Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the need for more investment in Lesotho’s football sector.
