Mr Mats’ela Mats’ela is a member of the board of directors of Lesotho Communications Authority (LCA) having been appointed in October, 2021.
He is an economics and management scholar with extensive understanding of management theory and its practical implications. He has held strategic positions in Management at various organizations including Naledi Funeral Planners, Lesotho National Development Corporation and the Independent Electoral Commission. Amongst his accolades, he was awarded two certificates of Excellence in recognition of his outstanding leadership and student governance by the University of the Free State in 2015 and 2016 respectively. He was also elected chairperson for the International Students Council at the University of the Free State in 2016 and a member of the Student Parliament in 2016 and 2017.
He was the Chairperson of the Student Representative Council at the National University of Lesotho during the academic year 2013/14 where he was also the secretary for Education and Students Affairs in 2012/13. Mr Mats’ela is currently studying towards a B.Com Honors Degree in Investment Management and Financial Economics at the University of the Free State. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Investment Management from the same University and a Diploma in Business Management from the National University of Lesotho.
