Lesotho Advances Digital Priorities at WTDC-25 in Baku

On November 21, 2025, Lesotho’s delegation participated in the World Telecommunications Development Conference (WTDC-25) held in Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan. The conference provided a platform for the Ministry of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation to advance national priorities in the global digital landscape.
The delegation, led by Minister Honourable Nthati Moorosi and Principal Secretary Mr. Kanono Ramashamole, engaged in high-level discussions focused on expanding affordable ICT services, strengthening connectivity, and enhancing cyber readiness. Their participation aimed to ensure that Basotho benefit from international cooperation and global initiatives supporting digital development.
WTDC-25 offered opportunities to engage development partners, exchange knowledge, and explore technical support programs for developing countries. Lesotho showcased its ongoing efforts to improve digital infrastructure, foster innovation, and promote technological inclusion across the Kingdom.
The conference also enabled networking with international stakeholders, providing pathways for future collaborations that will support Lesotho’s national digital transformation agenda. The delegation’s involvement reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging global partnerships to drive socio-economic development through ICT and innovation.
