Vodacom Named Africa’s Top Employer for Third Consecutive Year

Vodacom Group has solidified its reputation as a leading employer in Africa, being named Africa’s Top Employer by the Top Employers Institute for the third year in a row. This recognition reflects the group’s commitment to delivering outstanding employee experiences, driving innovation, embedding ethical technology practices, and maintaining a people-first approach across its operations.

Alongside the group-wide award, individual Top Employer certifications were also granted to Vodacom Lesotho, Vodacom Mozambique, Vodacom South Africa, Vodacom Tanzania, Safaricom Ethiopia, and Safaricom Kenya. Each market demonstrated excellence in human capital management, highlighting Vodacom’s consistent leadership in workforce development across diverse regions.

This year’s assessment covered 20 HR domains, including People Strategy, Talent Acquisition, Learning and Development, Leadership Development, Performance Management, Employee Wellbeing, and Diversity and Inclusion. Vodacom’s achievement underlines the group’s dedication to fostering a supportive, innovative, and inclusive workplace while driving long-term growth and employee engagement across its African operations.
