Vodacom Lesotho Foundation and Rotary Club of Maloti Donate Equipment for People with Disabilities

On Wednesday, the Vodacom Lesotho Foundation, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Maloti, donated a variety of equipment to support people with disabilities across Lesotho. The items, provided by PhysioNet UK, include hospital beds, wheelchairs, walking sticks, and other assistive devices.
The handover ceremony, held in Maseru, was attended by key stakeholders including the Minister of Gender, Youth and Social Development, Hon. Pitso Lesaoana, the International Development Association representative Mr. John Kennedy Mosoti, and leaders from the Rotary Club of Maloti. Also present were representatives from disability organisations, local government councils, health centres, hospitals, and homes for people with disabilities, as well as beneficiaries themselves.
The project aims to ensure that all Mosotho, regardless of physical ability, have access to essential support and services. By providing mobility aids and medical equipment, the initiative seeks to improve independence, inclusion, and quality of life for people with disabilities.
This donation reinforces ongoing efforts to create a more inclusive society, reduce barriers for people with disabilities, and ensure that no individual is left behind due to physical differences. The partnership between Vodacom Lesotho Foundation, Rotary Club of Maloti, and international partners highlights the impact of collaborative efforts in addressing social needs.
