National University of Lesotho Delegation Joins 26th WaterNet Symposium in Lusaka

A delegation from the National University of Lesotho (NUL) has traveled to Lusaka to participate in the three-day 26th WaterNet Symposium, which begins today, 29th October. The conference provides a platform for scientists and researchers across the region to share knowledge and insights on integrated catchment management and water resource sustainability.
The NUL delegation will present research on key topics such as soil erosion, governance frameworks, and other water management challenges facing Lesotho. This opportunity allows the university to showcase local studies and contribute to regional discussions on sustainable water management.
In addition to presenting their findings, the delegation will engage with fellow scientists, exchange best practices, and gain exposure to new methodologies and approaches applied in other countries. The symposium encourages collaboration and strengthens networks between researchers in Southern Africa.
The NUL delegation comprises Ts’epang Ngatane, Tebesi Raliengoane, Mosioua Mochala, Knight Nthebere, and Noloane Mofolo. Their participation reflects the university’s commitment to advancing research, fostering regional partnerships, and supporting evidence-based solutions to water and environmental challenges.
Through active participation in events like the WaterNet Symposium, Lesotho continues to contribute to regional water governance discussions while building local capacity in research and sustainable resource management.
