Lesotho Showcased Globally in Patrick Rorke’s “Lesotho, Unknown” Art Exhibition in Belgium

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Relations announced the upcoming art exhibition “Lesotho, Unknown” by renowned South African artist Patrick Rorke. The exhibition will run from 11 to 14 September 2025 at Galerij RUIMTE34 in Antwerp, Belgium.
“Lesotho, Unknown” offers an intimate exploration of Lesotho’s landscapes, people, and cultural heritage through Rorke’s artistic lens. The exhibition reflects the artist’s personal journey and connection with the Kingdom, presenting a unique visual narrative that enhances Lesotho’s cultural identity on the global stage.
The official opening will take place on Thursday, 11 September, at 17:30, attended by Her Excellency Mantoetsi Mohatonyane, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Lesotho to Belgium. Her presence underscores the significance of the exhibition in promoting cultural diplomacy and international appreciation of Lesotho’s heritage.
Patrick Rorke has lived and worked in Lesotho for several years, contributing significantly to heritage conservation, mural art, and architectural restoration projects. His works celebrate the resilience and beauty of Basotho life, offering both artistic value and insight into the country’s cultural richness.
