The Leader of the National Assembly, Justice Nthomeng Majara, has been urged to discuss and resolve the issue of unpaid Lesupatsela and Tsoha o Iketsetse workers with the relevant Ministry. The call came from Speaker of the House, Mr. Tlohang Sekhamane, following a point of order raised by Qacha’s Nek Member of Parliament, Mr. Mohlahlobi Busa.
Mr. Busa requested that the government settle outstanding payments for these workers, highlighting the ongoing concern among staff who regularly inquire about their salaries. In response, Mr. Sekhamane stated that the Ministry responsible should deliver a statement to the House to provide clarity and update on the matter.
Mr. Busa emphasized that the issue remains urgent, noting that the unpaid workers continue to face financial difficulties while awaiting their due payments. The discussion in the National Assembly underscores the need for prompt action to ensure government accountability and support for public sector employees.
