Trans Africa Tourism and Unity Campaign Visits Lesotho to Promote African Unity

The Trans Africa Tourism and Unity Campaign, a Ghanaian government-backed initiative, visited Lesotho yesterday in the capital city of Maseru. The delegation held a courtesy meeting with His Majesty King Letsie III, engaging traditional leadership to promote the campaign’s vision of African unity.
Lesotho marks the 13th country on the campaign’s ambitious journey across 39 African nations. The initiative advocates for a borderless Africa and a visa-free policy for African nationals travelling within the continent.
Mr Ras Mubarak, former Ghanaian Member of Parliament and leader of the campaign, stated that a borderless Africa is both achievable and essential for economic and cultural integration. He added, “We believe a visa-free Africa can become a reality within the next five years.”
The campaign urges African nations to eliminate visa barriers, promote seamless travel, and strengthen continental ties. By collaborating with governments, traditional leaders, and citizens, the initiative aims to unlock Africa’s tourism potential and foster a shared sense of identity and purpose.
The visit to Lesotho underscores the campaign’s commitment to building stronger connections across Africa and advancing the vision of a united, integrated continent.
