World Vision Lesotho Unveils Five-Year Integrated Programme Framework to Strengthen Child Well-Being

World Vision Lesotho, in collaboration with its partners, presented a new Integrated Programme Framework during the Annual Stakeholders Review Meeting held on Wednesday in the district. This proposed framework outlines the organization’s strategic direction from 2026 to 2030, with a central focus on improving the lives of vulnerable children and their communities.
Delivering the presentation, Mr. Motlatsi Taka, World Vision Lesotho’s Child Protection and Safeguarding Programme Manager, explained that the framework will serve as a guiding document for the organization and its partners to align their interventions over the next five years. “It is a roadmap that places the needs of children at the heart of everything we do—from health to education, from protection to food security,” said Mr. Taka.
The strategy is set to come into effect on October 1, 2025, coinciding with the start of World Vision’s financial year. It will initially be implemented in two key area programmes within Mphokojoane and Menoaneng Community Councils. Mr. Taka emphasized that the programme will prioritize critical areas such as child health and nutrition, spirituality, and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH), among others.
Also speaking at the meeting was Mr. Kabelo Tseetsana, the WASH Technical Programme Manager for World Vision Lesotho. He noted that the purpose of the stakeholder meeting was to ensure that all involved parties could contribute their insights and expertise to strengthen the strategy’s implementation. “This is not just a World Vision strategy—it belongs to every stakeholder who is committed to improving the well-being of our communities, especially children,” he said.
Mr. Tseetsana further emphasized the importance of collective effort, stating that sustainable development cannot be achieved without unity of purpose among partners working at the grassroots level.
The unveiling of the Integrated Programme Framework marks a significant step forward in World Vision Lesotho’s mission to transform lives through coordinated and impactful development initiatives. With children at the center of the strategy, the next five years promise targeted, inclusive interventions aimed at creating healthier, safer, and more empowered communities.
