
The historic three-day Moshoeshoe Walk, covering an impressive distance of approximately 116 kilometers, came to a triumphant end on Saturday evening at Thaba-Bosiu. The walk, which began on Thursday in Menkhoaneng, Leribe, saw a diverse group of local and international tourists participating in a journey that honored the legacy of the founding father of Lesotho, King Moshoeshoe I.
The walk was led by Queen ‘Masenate Mohato Seeiso, who guided the participants through the scenic and culturally significant routes, bringing together people from all walks of life in a show of unity and historical reverence. The journey served not only as a physical challenge but also as a celebration of Lesotho’s heritage and the resilience of its people.
During the event’s closing ceremony, His Majesty King Letsie III addressed the crowd, expressing his appreciation for the remarkable participation of women, noting that the walk coincided with International Women’s Day.
