
American Corner Maseru recently hosted an important press conference for the STEAMLes Robotics AI for Good, Robotics for Youth Challenge. The event brought together key education and innovation stakeholders in Lesotho to introduce the team and outline their upcoming international journey. The briefing highlighted the country’s growing focus on science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics education for young people. It also showed how local partnerships are shaping opportunities for students to compete globally. The atmosphere reflected strong national support for youth innovation and digital skills development.

Team Lesotho was officially introduced as the country’s representative at the global challenge scheduled for Geneva. On 4 July 2026, the team will travel to Switzerland to compete against other young innovators from different countries.
