LECSA Holds Annual Prayer Session for Lesotho Royal Family at Matsieng

The Lesotho Evangelical Church of Southern Africa (LECSA) held its annual prayer session for the Royal Family on Sunday at Matsieng, gathering congregants, clergy, and members of the royal household for a time of reflection and thanksgiving. The event brought together participants in a shared spirit of spiritual renewal and national unity.
Prince Seeiso Bereng Seeiso, speaking during the welcome remarks, described the prayer session as an act of gratitude to God and a way to honour departed members of the Royal Family. He emphasized that the gathering remains a vital moment for spiritual renewal, particularly at the start of the year.
The service was led by LECSA Secretary of the Synod, Reverend Masilo Phate, who drew inspiration from the Book of Psalms. He encouraged believers to remain steadfast in faith despite life’s challenges, emphasizing trust in God at all times. Reverend Phate called on worshippers to praise God and glorify His name under all circumstances, highlighting the importance of placing faith above difficulties.
Reverend Phate further underscored the value of love, reminding attendees of God’s unconditional love for the world. He encouraged unity, compassion, and peace among Lesotho’s citizens, linking spiritual reflection with broader social harmony.
The service included traditional hymns, featuring hymn numbers 224, 264, and 273, and a Bible reading from 2 Kings 22:3-11, creating a solemn and reverent atmosphere. These elements reinforced the spiritual significance of the gathering, making it a meaningful occasion for all present.
LECSA’s annual prayer session continues to provide spiritual support for the Royal Family and promotes peace and stability across Lesotho. It serves as a reminder of the country’s shared values and the role of faith in guiding the nation through challenges and triumphs.
