The launch included the commencement of classroom construction at Leponesa Primary School, located in the Qalabane area of Mafeteng District. The project is funded by the World Bank, reflecting an investment in Lesotho’s education sector and the country’s commitment to improving school infrastructure. The initiative seeks to create safe, functional, and conducive learning spaces, while encouraging the adoption of science and practical learning among primary school learners.

Minister Prof Rapapa emphasized that the project will directly contribute to improved educational outcomes by addressing overcrowding and limited facilities in schools. The new infrastructure will also support a modern curriculum and promote student engagement.
