Earlier this morning, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Kananelo Mosito, led the NUL Management to take their first dose of the Oxford-AstraZenecavaccine against COVID-19.
The vaccines were initially planned for the NUL Clinic Staff, Faculty of Health Sciences Staff and students who, by nature of their daily activities, are frontline workers against the pandemic. Upon realization that only a few students turned up, it was decided that rather than throwing away the jabs, Senior Management and vulnerable groups of NUL Staff (including those with co-morbidity) take the vaccine.
Meanwhile, the Vice-Chancellor (a.i.) urges NUL Community to do the same once the vaccine rollout programmes begin
