Econet Telecom Lesotho to Host Econet Expo 2025: Shaping Lesotho’s Digital Future

Telecommunications powerhouse and leading digital services provider, Econet Telecom Lesotho (ETL), will host the Econet Expo 2025 from 26 to 30 August at Maseru Mall. Now in its third year, the Expo has become a key platform where technology, innovation, and societal impact converge.

Themed “Digital First: Shaping Lesotho’s Tomorrow,” the event highlights ETL’s transformation from a traditional telecom operator to the nation’s foremost digital services provider. The Expo aims to bring technology closer to the public while promoting inclusive access to digital innovations.

Speaking ahead of the event, Econet’s Acting GM of Marketing Communications and Customer Experience, Puleng ’Mathabo Masoabi, said the company is committed to ensuring no one is left behind in the digital revolution.

“The Econet Expo is more than an exhibition; it is a celebration of how technology can improve lives, businesses, and communities. We are creating a space where customers can experience, learn, and connect with innovations that are shaping the future of Lesotho,” she stated.

The Expo will feature several key attractions. The Fintech Innovation Hub will showcase the latest in financial technology solutions. The Smart Home Showcase will demonstrate connected living experiences. Visitors will also interact with cutting-edge Robotics and Artificial Intelligence technologies.

A dedicated SME and B2B Solutions Corner will provide entrepreneurs and enterprises with practical insights. The Gaming and Digital Entertainment Zone will create an interactive space for young innovators and digital enthusiasts.

This year, Econet will also unveil new products and service enhancements. Unlimited WiFi Plus will deliver high-speed internet for homes and businesses. OmniVoice will offer a unified voice communication solution. EcoTicket will streamline digital ticketing, and upgrades to EcoCash will enable faster and more secure mobile money transactions.

The event will also feature expert-led discussions, cybersecurity sessions, live demonstrations, and customer engagement activities, transforming the Expo into a digital festival that caters to all Basotho and local businesses.
