Lesotho’s Mokhosi Mohapi Appointed Match Commissioner for Pirates vs Pyramids CAF Champions League Semi-Final

Lesotho’s football fraternity has received a major boost with the appointment of Mr. Mokhosi Mohapi, the Secretary General of the Lesotho Football Association (LeFA), as the Match Commissioner for the high-profile CAF Champions League semi-final clash between South Africa’s Orlando Pirates and Egypt’s Pyramids FC.

The first leg of the semi-final will take place this coming Sunday at the iconic FNB Stadium in Johannesburg. This appointment marks another significant milestone in Mohapi’s growing reputation within continental football administration.

According to Mikia Kalati, Communications and Media Manager at LeFA, Mr. Mohapi has previously overseen top-tier CAF fixtures, including the prestigious CAF Super Cup final between Egyptian powerhouses Al Ahly and Zamalek held in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. His experience and professionalism have earned him consistent recognition by the Confederation of African Football (CAF).

For Sunday’s encounter, Mohapi will lead a team of officials that includes a referee from Burundi, assistant referees from Senegal and Benin, and a Match Assessor also from Benin. The collaboration reflects CAF’s commitment to maintaining neutrality and high officiating standards in its premier club competitions.

Lesotho continues to shine on the continental stage through individuals like Mohapi, whose appointment underscores the country’s growing presence and credibility within African football.
