The much-anticipated trophy award ceremony for the district’s top learners, who excelled in the Lesotho General Certificate of Secondary Education (LGSCE) examinations, has been postponed. The event, initially scheduled for March 7, was meant to coincide with the back-to-school activities in the district.
According to the District Administrator, Mr. Tlali Mphafi, the ceremony was planned to honor 15 learners who demonstrated exceptional performance in the previous year’s examinations. The awardees were set to receive trophies and gifts in recognition of their academic achievements.
Mr. Mphafi stated that the delay was due to unforeseen circumstances, but assured that the ceremony would be rescheduled to a later date. The District Administrator emphasized the importance of celebrating academic excellence and reiterated the district’s commitment to encouraging and motivating students to strive for success.
The postponed event was expected to highlight the district’s dedication to education and to inspire current students to aim for high academic standards in the coming years. Though the date has shifted, the District Administrator remains optimistic about the upcoming celebration, ensuring that the top-performing learners will still receive their well-deserved recognition and rewards.
The community eagerly awaits the rescheduled event, which will undoubtedly continue to showcase the talent and hard work of Lesotho’s youth.
