IEC, UNDP and European Union Launch Workshop to Strengthen Political Party Financial Accountability in Lesotho

The Independent Electoral Commission IEC in Lesotho has launched a three day workshop aimed at strengthening financial management and accountability within political parties. The initiative is implemented in partnership with the United Nations Development Programme UNDP Lesotho and the European Union Delegation to Lesotho. The training brings together party secretaries and treasurers from different political parties across the country. It is designed to improve how political parties manage funds and report financial activities. The programme reflects a growing focus on transparency in democratic processes. The workshop is conducted under the broader Building Resources in Democracy, Governance and Elections BRIDGE programme, which is internationally recognised for strengthening electoral systems.
