Lesotho Strengthens Diplomatic Ties with France as Ambassador Presents Credentials

On 1 September 2025, Her Excellency Mrs. Mafelile Molala presented her Letters of Credence to His Excellency Emmanuel Macron, President of the French Republic, in a formal ceremony held in Paris. This act officially marked H.E. Molala’s assumption of full diplomatic responsibilities as Ambassador of Lesotho to France, while she continues to reside in Berlin.

Lesotho and France have maintained diplomatic relations since soon after Lesotho gained independence in 1966.
