Lesotho Hosts Strategic Plan Validation Workshop for Tourism, Sports, and Culture

The Ministry of Tourism, Sports, Arts and Culture recently hosted a Strategic Plan Validation Workshop in Maseru. The workshop brought together stakeholders from across Lesotho to provide input and align strategies for the country’s tourism, sports, and cultural sectors.

Participants focused on key priorities, including heritage preservation, creative industry growth, and community engagement. The discussions emphasized creating a vibrant, inclusive, and globally competitive environment for tourism and cultural development.

The Strategic Plan aims to strengthen Lesotho’s position as a unique cultural and sporting destination while promoting sustainable economic growth. By engaging diverse stakeholders, the Ministry ensured that the plan reflects the shared vision and priorities of local communities, private sector actors, and government agencies.

The workshop is a critical step in implementing initiatives that will enhance Lesotho’s tourism infrastructure, support artists and athletes, and preserve cultural heritage. The Ministry will use the validated plan as a roadmap for policy development, investment, and international collaboration in the years ahead.
