Lesotho Advances Digital Education with Kolo High School Visit

Today, Hon. Nthati Moorosi, Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation (MICSTI), and Hon. Prof. Ntoi Rapapa, Minister of Education and Training, visited Kolo High School in Mafeteng District. The visit focused on the ongoing Digital Skills Training Programme supported by UNDP.

The programme equips learners with essential digital knowledge and tools to succeed in a technology-driven world. Students receive training in areas such as computer literacy, coding, and online research, preparing them for future careers in digital fields.

The ministers emphasized the government’s commitment to inclusive digital education. By working through MICSTI and the Ministry of Education and Training, the initiative ensures that learners across Lesotho have access to technology and digital learning opportunities.

This programme is part of a broader national strategy to strengthen digital skills among youth, enhance employability, and position Lesotho as a competitive player in the global digital economy. The government plans to expand similar initiatives to reach more schools nationwide.
