Deputy Prime Minister Opens Cabinet Retreat in Mohale’s Hoek as Government Marks Third Anniversary

The Deputy Prime Minister, Justice Nthomeng Majara, officially opened a Cabinet retreat in Mohale’s Hoek, where ministers are reviewing their progress as the coalition government celebrates its third anniversary.

In her address, Deputy Prime Minister Majara congratulated ministers for reaching this milestone and encouraged them to acknowledge their achievements. She urged them to use the retreat as an opportunity to reflect on past performance and plan strategically for the future. She called on ministers to return to their duties with renewed energy, strengthened unity, and a clear focus on serving Basotho effectively in the coming years.

Honourable Nthati Moorosi, Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology and Innovation, explained that the retreat builds on a previous session held in Maseru. She noted that the aim is for ministers to conclude the retreat as a stronger, more cohesive team, with mutual understanding and a shared commitment to improving service delivery.

The Right Honourable Prime Minister Samuel Ntsokoane Matekane is expected to join the retreat later, providing further guidance and reinforcing the government’s vision for the next phase of its term.

The Cabinet retreat in Mohale’s Hoek serves as a platform for strategic review, team building, and planning, ensuring that the government continues to deliver on its promises to Basotho while strengthening internal coordination and accountability.
