Maliehe Mosepele

This is the final week of the Mandela Washington Fellowship for Young African Leaders and we are excited about welcoming our fellows back home. Today’s #YALILesotho2022 highlight is Maliehe Mosepele.

Maliehe is the founder and Executive Director of Mosepele Foundation Development Forum (MFDF), an organisation that advocates for the rights of vulnerable young people in Lesotho. Through his programs, he has impacted over 600 women and has helped them to amplify their voices by imparting public speaking skills on to them. He has also been instrumental in driving initiatives such as sanitary towel donations, menstrual hygiene education, and blanket drives. Maliehe is also a member of the YALI network and has hosted workshops and symposiums targeted at young Basotho, with the intention of providing training on good governance, youth leadership and networking skills. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Social Work. He is placed at the University of Delaware under the Leadership in Civic Engagement track.
