Next week, Maseru will host the five-day Sebabatso 2 Youth Conference, themed “Enhancing Basotho Youth and Marginalised Groups Talents and Innovation for Socio-Economic Participation.” This conference aims to provide the youth of Lesotho with valuable opportunities for development, fostering an environment conducive to innovation and entrepreneurship.
According to a statement from the Ministry of Gender, Youth and Social Development, the conference will focus on equipping at least 100 top youth entrepreneurs with essential skills to enhance their business designs and presentations. The statement further highlighted that from this group of entrepreneurs, the top 30 will be selected to join 30 innovative minds from the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics (STEAM). These selected youth will have the opportunity to pitch their ideas directly to potential investors during the conference.
