National University of Lesotho Concludes 2026 Career Guidance Expo with Maseru Finale

The National University of Lesotho (NUL) officially brought its 2026 Standard Lesotho Bank Career Guidance Expo campaign to a close with a vibrant finale in Maseru, drawing hundreds of high school learners from across the capital. The event marked the successful conclusion of a five-district outreach programme that reached students in remote areas, ensuring equitable access to information on higher education. Prior to Maseru, the NUL team engaged learners in Mokhotlong, Butha-Buthe, Berea, and Mafeteng, extending the university’s reach beyond urban centers and making higher education guidance accessible to all corners of Lesotho. This approach allowed students from distant communities to receive tailored advice on academic and career planning, bridging gaps in access to educational resources. The nationwide campaign highlighted NUL’s commitment to promoting educational equity and social inclusion.
The expo provided an interactive platform where students explored a range of academic programmes, learned about admission requirements, and gained insight into campus life. NUL representatives engaged directly with learners, answering questions, clarifying misconceptions, and helping students understand how to align their passions with meaningful career paths. Workshops and presentations encouraged students to explore opportunities in diverse fields, from science and technology to arts and business, creating a space for informed decision-making. The event emphasized practical guidance, equipping learners with the tools to plan their educational journeys effectively. Students were empowered to consider their options critically and to take proactive steps toward their future careers.
More than an information session, the campaign served as a source of inspiration, motivating learners to dream bigger and plan smarter. Participants were encouraged to pursue their ambitions with confidence and to embrace the opportunities offered by higher education. The initiative reinforced NUL’s role in fostering talent and guiding young people toward careers that contribute to personal growth and national development. By connecting with students early, the university strengthened its impact on the country’s future workforce, nurturing innovators, professionals, and leaders.
The 2026 Career Guidance Expo demonstrates NUL’s dedication to inclusive education and national development goals. By combining outreach, interactive learning, and personalized guidance, the university ensured that students from both urban and rural communities could access vital information about their academic futures. The initiative reflects a long-term vision of empowering young people to make informed choices and build successful careers. As the campaign concludes, NUL continues to set the standard for career guidance and higher education outreach in Lesotho, reaffirming its leadership in shaping the next generation of professionals and change-makers.
