Lesotho Hosts Eswatini Delegation for Roads and Transport Study Tour

The Principal Secretary of Lesotho’s Ministry of Public Works and Transport, Ms. Tšepang Koele, officially welcomed a delegation from the Kingdom of Eswatini during their study tour at the Road Directorate in Maseru. Ms. Koele noted that the visit began the previous day and is aimed at observing the operations of Lesotho’s Ministry of Public Works and Transport. She explained that the study tour focuses on benchmarking in two key sectors: roads and transport, allowing the Eswatini delegation to learn from Lesotho’s systems and practices.
Chairman of the Civil Service Commission in Eswatini, Mr. Simanga Mamba, praised Lesotho’s Minister of Public Works and Transport for driving service delivery. He emphasized that citizens expect tangible results and improved quality of life. Mr. Mamba said the benchmarking visit is designed to foster mutual learning and cooperation to enhance service delivery for the benefit of both countries’ populations.
The Eswatini delegation included Commissioners Mfánawemakhosi Dlamini and Nhlanhla Hlatjwako, as well as Principal Secretary Richard Phungwayo. The visit is expected to strengthen ties between the two countries and provide practical insights into effective management of road and transport systems.
