King Letsie III Commissions Mrs. ’Mapaballo Mile as Lesotho’s Ambassador to China

On 12 November 2025, His Majesty King Letsie III officially commissioned Mrs. ’Mapaballo Mile as Lesotho’s Ambassador-Designate to the People’s Republic of China at the Royal Palace. This appointment reflects Lesotho’s commitment to strengthening diplomatic relations and fostering cooperation with China.
Mrs. ’Mile holds a Master’s degree in Public Health and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and Demography. She brings extensive experience in health, gender, and development, having served in senior leadership positions in both national and international organizations.
Throughout her career, Mrs. ’Mile has made notable contributions in public health, gender mainstreaming, and community development. Her work with institutions such as the Aids HealthCare Foundation, UNFPA, and Skillshare International has advanced national and regional development initiatives, addressing critical health and social issues.
Her appointment underscores the Government of Lesotho’s strategic focus on strengthening diplomatic ties with China, particularly in areas of health, education, and socio-economic development. The government expects Mrs. ’Mile’s expertise and leadership to enhance bilateral cooperation, attract investments, and promote Lesotho’s interests abroad.
