The Ministry of Education and Training has partnered with Digital School and Skilled Academics under the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). This partnership will deliver a one-month training program featuring online short courses.

Under the agreement, Digital School and Skilled Academics will provide specialized online courses to the Ministry. Minister of Education and Training, Professor Ntoi Rapapa, announced that the Ministry will focus on four key courses within Technical Vocational Education (TVE). These courses are:

  • Reception and Access Control Management
  • CCTV Monitoring and Patrol Duties
  • Incident Reporting
  • Crowd Control and Emergency Response and Fire Safety

The courses will begin on August 18, 2025.

Professor Rapapa revealed that the training will involve four schools from different districts: LOIKI, TTI Thaba Tseka, CCCC Leribe, and NTLAFATSO Mohales Hoek. These schools will coordinate the program locally to ensure effective participation.

The training will accept 100 male trainees aged between 21 and 40 years. Eligible candidates must hold COSC or LGCSE certificates and demonstrate fluent communication skills in English.

The Minister emphasized that this initiative aims to equip trainees with practical skills that will enhance their employability. He concluded by stating that the training program will create new job opportunities, supporting workforce development in Lesotho.

This collaboration marks a strategic effort by the Ministry to expand access to quality vocational education and respond to market demands for skilled personnel.
