Former Government Secretary, Mr. Moahloli Mphaka, to Be Laid to Rest in Ha Thetsane

The nation is mourning the untimely loss of Mr. Moahloli Mphaka, the Former Government Secretary (GS), who passed away on the night of his 49th birthday. The tragic death occurred on April 26, 2025, at Maseru Private Hospital, due to complications from asthma.

In a statement shared with the Agency, Mr. Mphaka’s brother, Mr. Sam Mphaka, confirmed that the burial will take place on Saturday, May 10, 2025, at the family home in Ha Thetsane. The service will be held at Lifefo Playground, Ha Thetsane, and will be preceded by a memorial service on Wednesday at 10:00 AM. The memorial service will take place at the ‘Manthabiseng Convention Centre, where family, friends, colleagues, and well-wishers will gather to remember and celebrate the life of Mr. Mphaka.

Mr. Sam Mphaka expressed heartfelt appreciation for the outpouring of support from the nation and called on the public to join in commemorating the life of his late brother. He described Mr. Mphaka as a dedicated father, a trusted advisor, and a servant to others, who always placed the needs of his community and country above his own.
