The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Lesotho, through its Accelerator Lab, has launched the Her Empire Assessment Workshop today in Thaba-Bosiu, Maseru. This workshop represents a crucial step in evaluating the progress and impact of the Her Empire initiative, a program dedicated to empowering women-led enterprises in the country.
According to a release by UNDP, the Her Empire initiative has, over the past three years, provided female entrepreneurs with mentorship, business development training, and access to market opportunities. By supporting women in various sectors, the program has played a vital role in enhancing economic participation and enterprise growth.
The ongoing assessment workshop is designed to measure the effectiveness of the business tools introduced through the initiative. Key focus areas include improvements in profitability, job creation, business expansion, and digital inclusion. Additionally, the workshop will help identify further capacity-building needs, particularly in regional trade.
