Lesotho Football Association Appoints Caswell Moru as New Technical Director

The Lesotho Football Association (LeFA) has announced the appointment of Mr. Caswell Moru as its new Technical Director. Moru will succeed Mr. Lehlohonolo Thotanyana, who completed his tenure at the end of 2024.

According to LeFA’s Media and Communications Manager, Mr. Mikia Kalati, Moru’s appointment marks a new chapter for the association as it continues to evolve its technical structures. “Moru is a well-respected football technician and administrator, and his experience will be invaluable as he takes on this important role,” Kalati stated.

Moru’s appointment follows an illustrious career in sports, where he has made significant contributions across various organizations. His journey includes key positions within the Lesotho Sports and Recreation Commission (LSRC), the Lesotho Institutions Sports Association (LISA), and the Confederation of School Sport Association of Southern Africa (COSSASA). These roles have provided Moru with a wide-ranging understanding of sports development at both national and regional levels.

In his new capacity as Technical Director, Moru will oversee the development of football programs and policies aimed at improving the standard of the sport in Lesotho. He will also play a central role in the nurturing of talent and ensuring that the national football teams receive the technical support needed for success on the international stage.

The appointment of Moru comes at a time when Lesotho football is looking to enhance its infrastructure and elevate its competitive presence in African football. His wealth of experience in sports administration and football development positions him well to make a lasting impact.

LeFA and its stakeholders are optimistic that under Moru’s leadership, the technical direction of football in Lesotho will reach new heights, benefiting players, coaches, and the broader football community.

As Lesotho embarks on this new chapter, all eyes will be on Moru as he begins his mission to steer the nation’s football programs toward future successes.
