Lekhooa Letsatsi

Today’s #YALILesotho2022 highlight is of Lekhooa Letsatsi. Lekhooa is a Climate professional with 7 years of experience in the nonprofit sector and government sector and is enrolled for his Master of Science Specialising in Climate Change at the University of the Free State in South Africa. He currently works as ICT and E-waste Officer at SchoolNet Camara Lesotho.

His focus areas are the implementation of Climate policy harmonisation, institutional development, sustainable development goals, human capacity building and behaviour change communication. In 2019, he was selected to represent Lesotho at the Climate Change Summit, and is a country coordinator for World CleanUp, and Race for Oceans, which advocates for plastic free oceans and rivers. He previously worked for Lesotho Meteorological Services and is an alumni of the YALI Regional Leadership Center (RLC). Lekhooa will be placed at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln under the Leadership in Civic Engagement track.
