Minister of Agriculture to Announce Grain Producer Orientation Initiative

The Minister of Agriculture, Food Security and Nutrition, Hon. Thabo Mofosi, will hold a press conference today at 2:30 PM at the Ministry’s Head Office. The meeting will outline plans to engage agricultural input manufacturers to provide guidance to grain producers on the effective use of farming equipment.

This initiative forms part of the Ministry’s broader strategy to improve productivity and efficiency in the grain sector. By providing producers with practical training and access to technical knowledge, the government aims to reduce equipment misuse and increase overall output.

Officials say the orientation sessions will strengthen collaboration between producers and suppliers. Grain producers will gain hands-on experience with modern equipment, while manufacturers will have an opportunity to demonstrate the latest technology and offer technical support.

The Ministry expects that this approach will enhance food security nationwide. By improving yields and efficiency, the initiative addresses both short-term production challenges and long-term sustainability in the agricultural sector.

Minister Mofosi emphasized that the government remains committed to supporting grain producers with the resources and knowledge needed to meet rising food demand. Stakeholders across the sector are encouraged to participate actively in the program to maximize its impact.

The press conference will provide further details on the rollout schedule, participating manufacturers, and the expected outcomes of the orientation program.
