MISA Lesotho to Hold Annual General Meeting in Maseru on March 29

The Media Institute of Southern Africa (MISA) – Lesotho will hold its highly anticipated Annual General Meeting (AGM) in Maseru on March 29, 2025. MISA-Lesotho Chairperson, Mr. Kananelo Boloetse, confirmed in an interview that the AGM will take place in line with the organization’s constitution, which mandates the annual meeting be held before March 31.
Mr. Boloetse highlighted that the upcoming AGM will serve as an essential platform for members to review and discuss various matters, including a comprehensive overview of MISA’s activities carried out since the previous AGM. One of the key agenda items will be the presentation of the financial report, allowing members to gain insight into the organization’s fiscal health.
Additionally, the meeting will provide an opportunity to discuss the proposed amendments to the MISA constitution. During the previous AGM, members identified several gaps and loopholes within the constitution. As a result, the constitution has been amended, but it will be up to the members to decide whether to adopt the revised version at the upcoming AGM.
The AGM is set to foster an important dialogue amongst members regarding the future direction of MISA-Lesotho and its role in the media landscape of the country. The meeting is expected to be a significant event for members, as it will help shape the path forward for the organization and its activities.
