NUL Hosts The 2nd Humanities Postgraduate Conference 2019

The National University hosted the second Humanities Postgraduate conference 2019 on the 4th and 5th December, 2019 at 09:00am. The conference was hosted at ISAS Auditorium, Roma Campus. The Theme for this year’s conference is “Emerging Trends in Postgraduate Studies”.
The conference began with public lectures by esteemed academics by the names of Professor Maximus Sefotho (University of Johannesburg), Dr. Lifelile Matsoso (National University of Humanities, Faculty of Education) and Dr. Raphael Thuube (National University of Lesotho, Faculty of Humanities) on the 4th and 5th December followed by parallel sessions by postgraduate students from the National University of Lesotho, University of the Free State, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University, University of Witwatersrand University, Kwazulu Natal University, and the University of South Africa. The conference was also graced by the presence of independent researchers, from Lesotho and beyond the borders, who shared their findings on current issues on research in higher education.
The conference has taken place within the framework of quality assurance and postgraduate footprint in the field of Humanities and related fields by way of show-casing current trends in research and promoting research at the National University of Lesotho.
The 2nd Postgraduate conference, which was organised by the Faculty of Humanities, was in cognisance of the National University of Lesotho strategic mandate to ‘Re-connect with the nation’ translated into specific strategic goals which call for quality and collaborative research between departments, faculties and universities.
