Vice-Chancellor holds a Press Conference
NUL Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Isaac Olusola Fajana held a second Press Conference this year on 7th June, 2022 at the Roma campus. The aim of the Press Conference was to update media and NUL stakeholders about the latest developments at the University.
In his remarks, Prof. Fajana talked about the following:
- Research Activities
- Teaching and Students Activities
- Community Service
- Partnerships and Collaborations
- Staff Welfare
- Strategic Planning
- CTL: a CETEL Centre of Excellence
- Dwindling Government Subvention
- Students Affairs
- Fear of “Strange Sickness” Spreading at the NUL
- Non Academic Workers Union
- Petitions by NUL Community
Prof. Fajana further emphasised that NUL is on course, as we are re-strategizing in recognition and appreciation of the roles expected of us as a mature institution. He indicated that NUL is now poised to strengthen its postgraduate offerings to enable the University to service sister institutions that the Government of Lesotho is establishing in line with the Lesotho National Strategic Plans. He therefore called on all internal and external stakeholders to cooperate in all regards.
The Vice-Chancellor’s presentation was followed by the Question and Answer session which was moderated by the Registrar, Mrs. Liteboho Maqalika-Lerotholi. Also present were the Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Bursar, University Librarian, Deans and Directors as well as representatives from student clubs.
