LHITC Hosts Successful Vegetable Information Session to Empower Horticultural Farmers

On 20th January, LHITC, under the CAFI project, hosted a Vegetable Information Session aimed at strengthening the skills of horticultural farmers under incubation producing cabbages, tomatoes, and peppers. The event gathered farmers and industry experts to focus on improving productivity, quality, and sustainability in vegetable farming.
Experts from Starke Ayres provided hands-on technical guidance, sharing practical knowledge on best practices in vegetable production. Farmers gained insights on enhancing crop performance, improving yields, and meeting market standards. Alfa Agrochem also participated, training farmers on the correct calibration of backpack sprayers. The session emphasized safe and responsible chemical use, promoting consumer safety and environmental protection.
This initiative reflects LHITC’s commitment to equipping farmers with the knowledge and confidence to run successful agricultural enterprises. By building skills in production and farm management, such programs contribute to food security, economic growth, and sustainable livelihoods. Through events like this, LHITC continues to support the development of a skilled, sustainable horticultural sector capable of meeting market demands while safeguarding resources.
