His Majesty King Letsie III to Attend Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha

His Majesty King Letsie III of Lesotho is set to attend the Second World Summit for Social Development in Doha, Qatar, from 4 to 6 November 2025. The Summit, convened under the United Nations General Assembly, follows Resolutions 78/261 and 78/318 and Decision 79/556, which call for renewed global commitment to social development. Heads of State and Government will gather to adopt an action-oriented political declaration aimed at accelerating the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
In preparation for the Summit, the Lesotho delegation has held a pre-briefing in Doha to ensure coordinated participation. The delegation includes senior government officials from the Ministries of Social Development, Labour and Employment, and representatives from the Permanent Mission of Lesotho to the United Nations.
