17th U.S.–Africa Business Summit Officially Opens in Luanda, Angola, with Lesotho Represented by Deputy Prime Minister Justice Majara

The 17th U.S.–Africa Business Summit has officially commenced in Luanda, Angola, drawing together top leaders from across Africa and the United States. Running from 22 to 25 June 2025, the summit is hosted by the Corporate Council on Africa in partnership with the Government of Angola.

Among the distinguished attendees is Lesotho’s Deputy Prime Minister, Justice Nthomeng Majara, who leads the nation’s delegation in this significant gathering of government officials, business leaders, and development partners.

This high-level summit serves as a pivotal forum where key stakeholders explore opportunities for trade, investment, innovation, and sustainable economic growth across the African continent. The theme, “Pathways to Prosperity: A Shared Vision for U.S. – Africa Partnership,” highlights the summit’s goal of strengthening ties and unlocking new avenues for collaboration between the United States and African economies.

The event underscores Angola’s role as host and African Union Chair, showcasing its commitment to economic reforms and an open investment climate. Over several days, participants will engage in discussions focused on critical sectors including infrastructure, energy, health, agribusiness, and information and communications technology (ICT).
