Thaba Tseka Retains Second Place in National Small Livestock Show

Thaba Tseka has once again secured the second position in the national small livestock show, maintaining its strong standing from the previous year. This achievement was confirmed in an interview with the District Agricultural Officer, Mrs. Makhala Phalatsi, on Thursday.

Mrs. Phalatsi expressed both pride and a hint of disappointment, noting that while the district had hoped to climb higher in the rankings, its consistent delivery of high-quality livestock sets it apart. “Even though we were expecting to move up the ladder, Thaba Tseka continues to produce improved quality livestock than any other district,” she stated.

In addition to the overall district ranking, Thaba Tseka also celebrated individual success. The district retained the coveted titles for the best ram and best ewe of the year. These prestigious accolades were awarded once again to Mr. Mpeoa, further cementing Thaba Tseka’s reputation as a leader in livestock excellence.

Mrs. Phalatsi credited the district’s dedication to animal husbandry, community involvement, and the adoption of better breeding techniques as key factors in their continued success.
