King Letsie III Receives Credentials from North Korean Ambassador-Designate

His Majesty King Letsie III has officially accepted letters of credence from Mr. Jong Song II, the Ambassador-Designate of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) to the Kingdom of Lesotho. The ceremonial event took place on Passover Thursday at the Royal Palace in Maseru.
During the formal proceedings, King Letsie III expressed gratitude for the longstanding diplomatic ties between Lesotho and North Korea, noting the mutual cooperation that has existed since the re-establishment of diplomatic relations in 2003.
In his acceptance remarks, the King said the presence of Ambassador-Designate Jong Song II in Lesotho is a reflection of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea’s commitment to strengthening bilateral relations. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration and dialogue between the two nations.
The event marks a reaffirmation of diplomatic engagement and shared interests between Lesotho and the DPRK, as both countries look to deepen their cooperation in various sectors.
