In a bid to address poverty, hunger, and the adverse effects of climate change, young people are turning to innovative agricultural practices such as hydroponics. Katiso Makhele, an administrator at Lema Agric Vest in Khubetsoana, highlighted the significance of hydroponics in an interview with the Agency. He explained that this method not only ensures efficient resource utilization but also enhances food security and economic opportunities for young entrepreneurs.

Hydroponics, a subset of hydroculture, is a controlled-environment agricultural system that allows plants—ranging from staple crops to medicinal herbs—to thrive without the limitations posed by traditional farming.
