Lesotho Hosts 14th CRASA AGM Focused on Digital Platform Regulation

The Minister of Information, Communications, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MICSTI), Ms. Nthati Moorosi, officiated the 14th Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Communications Regulators’ Association of Southern Africa (CRASA) in Maseru on Thursday. Themed Digital Platform Regulation Conference 2025, the event brought together key stakeholders to discuss the evolving regulatory landscape of digital platforms in the Southern African Development Community (SADC).

CRASA, established in 2011, plays a vital role in harmonizing Information, Communications, and Technologies (ICT) regulations across the region to enhance business investment and cooperation. The conference aimed to strengthen collaboration in managing digital platforms and ensuring a balanced regulatory framework that fosters innovation and consumer protection.

Addressing the gathering, Minister Moorosi highlighted the significance of the AGM in driving regional digital transformation and reinforcing collective efforts in ICT regulation. She commended CRASA for its commitment to promoting Universal Broadband Connectivity, emphasizing its role in ensuring inclusive digital access across SADC nations.
