Samsung Electronics Co., Ltd. and Corning Incorporated (NYSE: GLW) have announced that the Samsung Galaxy S25 Ultra will feature Corning® Gorilla® Armor 2, an advanced scratch-resistant and anti-reflective glass ceramic cover material designed specifically for mobile devices. This groundbreaking material will be showcased on the Galaxy S25 Ultra’s front display, setting a new benchmark for mobile display durability and clarity.

Compared to its predecessor, Gorilla® Armor 2 offers superior durability. It is engineered to better withstand the challenges of everyday life, including drops on rough, unforgiving surfaces. In Corning’s laboratory tests, Gorilla Armor 2 survived drops of up to 2.2 meters on concrete-like surfaces, outperforming alternative materials that failed at just one meter. It also delivers four times greater scratch resistance than competitive lithium-aluminosilicate glasses with anti-reflective coatings.
Additionally, Gorilla Armor 2 features advanced anti-reflective properties that reduce surface reflections in various lighting environments. This enhances display contrast and ensures a seamless viewing experience in both indoor and outdoor settings.
