Berea Ladies Triumph in SAFA Sedibeng Inter-Club Tournament
Berea Ladies have claimed the coveted championship title of the SAFA Sedibeng Inter-club tournament, securing a dominant 3-0 victory over Plot 20 in a thrilling final match this week. The tournament, which was held at the Ulusha Elite Sports Center in Johannesburg, kicked off on Monday and concluded on Tuesday, with ten teams competing for the prestigious title, including the victorious Berea Ladies F.C.
Speaking after the match, Berea Ladies F.C Chairman, Mr. Lekhooa Thabaneng, credited the team’s success to a combination of teamwork and the determination displayed by the players throughout the competition. Thabaneng emphasized that the unity and hard work of each team member were key factors in their journey to the championship.
“This victory is a result of the players’ commitment, hard work, and belief in one another. Our team demonstrated excellent coordination, and each player brought their best performance to the field, which ultimately led to our success,” said Thabaneng.
The final match saw Berea Ladies take control from the outset, with their dominant play culminating in a well-deserved 3-0 win. The team’s swift attacks and solid defense were too much for Plot 20, who were unable to break through Berea’s defense or find the back of the net.
The win marks a significant achievement for Berea Ladies, and the team’s performance at the tournament has garnered widespread praise. As the champions of the SAFA Sedibeng Inter-club tournament, Berea Ladies have established themselves as a force to be reckoned with in South African women’s football.
Looking ahead, the team’s victory is a stepping stone for greater achievements, and they will undoubtedly be aiming to build on this success in future competitions.
